Meet Barış Güngör, our fourth ambassador in 2024
Barış Güngör is a senior undergraduate student, currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering at OSTİM Technical University in Ankara. He’s also at work on a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Science at Karkonoska Akademia Nauk Stosowanych in Jelenia Góra (Poland) as part of an Erasmus + Programme.
His favorite programming language is Python, and he has contributed to various projects, including optimizing electric vehicle charging systems as an intern focused on artificial intelligence at Powea. This system, designed to enhance efficiency and sustainability in electric vehicle charging, showcases his commitment to innovative solutions in transportation.
How do you say “full version history” in Turkish? Ask Güngör, 20, who’s fluent in Turkish and English and currently learning Polish for his studies. While English serves as a universal language, Güngör understands that communicating in one’s mother tongue greatly eases the adoption of new practices. That’s why he actively contributed to translation projects for software platforms, including «Monsters Domain: Prologue» on Steam.
If you’d like to learn more about our mission or connect with Güngör, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re also seeking passionate individuals and organizations to volunteer as ambassadors and help us expand the Software Heritage community. If you too would like to become an ambassador, please tell us a bit about yourself and your interest in the Software Heritage mission.
